I first met John when i was a young child, he was a great towering figure with hands that could crush a coconut (or the hands of a 5 year old boy). I'm not sure what he thought of the sniffling little brat that would constantly terrorize him, causing an untold amount of trouble with Ben or occasionally forgetting to keep an eye on Jack as he tumbled down the stairs but i was quickly given a nickname and treated as one of his own. I will always be grateful for the joy that he brought to my grandmother during her final years and for the Boxing lessons (i still have the bruises) A great man who i think underestimated how much of an effect he had on the person i am today.
