John did one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me and gave my dad and I memories we'll cherish forever. Back in 2008, I left New Zealand and found myself in London, working at the Porchester Spa, cleaning, picking up towels and welcoming new visitors. John was always so kind to me and my colleagues. He and I shared many a good yarn and I was really fond of John, everyone was. Whether you were a high flyer or a cleaner, John didn't care - he was good to everyone. My parents are Scots, and when I told him I supported Celtic, he got me and my dad tickets to an Old Firm game. And they weren't just ordinary tickets, they really rolled out the red carpet for us. It's the only Celtic game my dad and I have ever seen together and is something that we will be eternally grateful for. John wanted nothing in return. He did it purely out of the kindess of his heart. You had the biggest heart John. Thanks for being so kind to me. My family wil be eternally grateful ❤️
En memoire de John Knowles...I want to believe you re still here around us...
