Angela and I were fortunate enough to befriend "Knocker" whilst he was manger with Chris Rea. He was very kind and generous with his time and often used us as sounding boards for Chris related stuff. His fequent use of the saxon English got him the nickname of "the President" amongst a few of us, as in J"F"K. Our lives are that much richer for having known him.
